Is it possible to change decks on fixed deck walk-behinds or can that only be done on floating deck wbs? For example if I wanted to go from say a 36" deck to a 44", would I be able to do it with a fixed deck or would a floating deck be necessary?
    Thanks

Whether or not you can switch decks on any mower depends on whether or not the mower frame will fit the mower unit. On my old Woods CM-36 36" hydro you couldn't swap the 48" deck onto it because the deck mounts were wider. On my Gravely 50" gear drive you could simply switch the deck frame and put a 36" deck on it.

Call your dealer or hit the OEM web site to see if they list that functionality.

Walkers, for instance, are known for this flexability on their bagging models.

Don't forget about an increase in hp for a larger deck.
