Is it possible to update harley's old rakes with the new carbon teeth drum?

Does the old rake work better than the new rake?

    Thanks

The new drum fits like a dream. Just have your Torches ready, and you better order new bearings and pillows for the drum, ours were grown together. We just replaced ours in December so i had to try it out on ice, man did i have the ice a flying! If you need any info contact me.

Does the new one work as good as the old one?

What's the sense of buying a new rake when you can overhaul a used one with the new drum.?

    Thanks again

Dude thats what we did we replaced our old drum with a new carbide tipped drum. The way the thing chewed up the ice im sure it will work wonders in the soil.

The new style drum does a much better job. The teeth do not wear as fast as the old style.

Spend the money on a new one it is well worth the price. If you do buy a used one make sure you build it up. Hardend rod. I was going to do that with mine and i figured it was not worh it thats why i spent the money on a new barrel. Good luck!
