Changing Transmissions

    IS IT HARD TO CHANGE A WALK BEHIND MOWER TRANSMISSION? I FIGURED THAT I CAN DO IT. ANYBODY HAVE ANY ADVICE?

    Depends on brand. My toro ;pull lever out of trany, unhook two drive belts to wheels, unhook belt to trany, unbolt trany and install in reverse.

    Some can be a pain to replace, Hondas, for one can be a headache. Snappers seem to be the easiest to swap out.

    walk behind mower is jumping when in use, the belts are not slipping must be the transmission right? How hard and how much money will it cost me if I do it myself? The mower is a 48" 17 KAW MTD it is used only at my folks farm. Any advise or tips would be appreciated
