    I have a Scag Turf Tiger w/Kawasaki 22HP motor. It's leaking oil from the valve covers. I read somewhere that there's an o-ring somewhere that can be replaced when you change the valve cover gaskets? Is that correct? If so, where is it located? Is there anything else I should do when I change the valve covers?
    Thanks!

    The seals you are speaking of are on the valve stems, Unless the engine smokes on start-up all I would do is replace the leaking cover gaskets.

    Are the seals on the valve stems hard to change??

    You must pin the valves closed and remove the valve spring retainers and springs to gain access to the seals, Below is right out of the service manual;

    Again, Unless they are bad I wouldn't fool with them.

    Thanks a lot for the replies! I don't think I'll mess with the valves. I'll just change the valve cover gaskets because they are leaking oil.
    Thanks for the advice!
