(charter) what does this mean?

    What does this mean?I'am licensed an insured but what is chartered. I"ve heard we have a board here in Chattanooga,
    Thats about all i know about charter.If you guys can help thanks..Lee:confused:

    Chartered means you were the first. Chartered members are the first to get a organization or group together.

    To be a commercial pesticide applicator in Tennessee you must have a charter authorizing you to do this to be legal. You can only apply granular fertilizer without any pesticides or herbicides without the charter. You can get some info at your extension agent about the requirements.

    Bigfoot is correct. I have no idea where the other comment came from. You must have a Charter in the state of TN to apply pesticides.
