Chasing Wires

    It was suggested that I post some recent projects. Recently at one of our HOAs we eliminated some battery ops and moved them onto controllers. In the photo you can see a blue flag on the right hand side, (where my TDR projected the fault). When I would try and trace the wire path I would abruptly lose signal where the wires ca be seen. Turns out that the installer never spliced the multistrand together. This was in the middle of a 700' run. The other fun part about this particular job was there were two buried junctions 20, from the controller, one under a water feature.

    Speaking of TDR, I am trying a new handheld TDR, DMM, fault finder and event analyzer.

    This is as cool a unit as I have seen in a long time.
