I've been using Milogranite for a couple of years in a couple of customer yards, plus my own. It's cheap- $9.99 for a 40lb. bag. It's 6-2-0, and I use it on lawns and in beds. Milogranite is pasterized sewage sludge from Millwauki, so it does have a slight odor when it gets wet, but not enough to be too bad. The smell of Milogranite is also the only sucessful deer repellant I've found other than an electric fence. Is anybody else using this stuff?

Every plant we install with few exception gets good old Pollock Poop in the hole. Milwaukee, Wi. is famous for a large Polish population so Milorganite is often called Pollock Poop. It is great for planting because direct contact with the roots will not burn them. It also give them a good kick start that lasts about 6 to 8 weeks.

Now Wal Mart here in Florida sells Milorganite for $ 5.97 a 40 lb Bag. Maybe you should check out Wal Mart in your area.
