    that patio on the back of the driveway would look great if it you added some steps, an access from the driveway, and... drainage? now that im looking at it again how does that thing drain??

    The raised patio has 2 drains in each corner of the outside edges, they are hard to see in this picture. There will be steps added in the spring with a sidewalk to the patio attached to the house. There are no issues with drainage, all we have had this fall and winter are rainstorms and nothing pools up. The creche has mortar in the middle, there are no finished joints on the outside. We tried are best to make it look as old as it can be! Thanks

    Your work looks great...That patio is a little strange looking, but steps and a walkway should fix that (maybe a railing or some lanscaping will help also). Manger is really cool

    Thanks for all the great comments, the raised patio was built to the homeowner specs, I talked him out of the idea but, he had his head stuck on that design. He also wanted the lip on the patio so his gas grill would not roll off of it. There will be steps added and a walkway this spring.
