okay here's the deal ...
I'm sitting here looking at a Royal Caribbean Cruise folder. I'm thinking to myself ... yeah, Chuck deserves some kind of support from site members which are now about
900 and something ..
there's more ... don't go away .. Chuck didn't put me up to this ... but what do you say?
Kick in a crummy $3.50 apiece times 900 and that's enough to send him a packin!
10 days and it starts with ...
leave Miami
1st stop Playa Del Carmen Cozumel Mexico
2nd stop Grand Cayman
3rd stop Aruba, Curacao
4th stop St Maarten
5th stop St Thomas
6th stop San Juan where trip ends
That's it people ... Chuck walks up that gang plank and his troubles are over for ten days ... blue waters, bikinis, best food in the world ... nice tan ... bars open all night ... unforgettable women ... best things life has to offer.
Not sold yet? there's more
. You're the hero, three dollars and fifty cents (the cost of a pack of smokes that's all) and Chuck gets a little something in return for running this site.
. When he's on that boat he'll think back to the guys here that gave him this gift of a lifetime.
. He's going to hear steel bands, he's going to see fish a jumpin, his daddy is rich and his ma is good lookin. Casinos, crystal waters, nothin but smiles, tensions released, massages, new folks to meet, shore trips, excursions, Miss America types strutting their stuff on deck.
Works like this ...
Eric or somebody sets up a simple savings trust account at a bank (10 minutes to do it)
Eric posts the name of that bank at this site.
Everybody send in that crummy $3.50 to the bank address
Make checks payable to Chuck's Vacation Trust Account c/o the bank.
When the account reaches $3,300 or whatever, Chuck takes his vacation. Costs around $2,300 so he's got an extra grand for spendin money.
You want to, you need to do something real nice for a deserving person? Do this I'm asking you. Forgot it's me making this appeal. Let's do this, c'mon. $3.50 cents
each, you spend that on soft drinks less than a day. Yeah I know it's hard to get 900 people together to agree on something.
Put that crap aside in your mind. This is a real good cause.
Let's get it going.
Whatdayasay?
Phil Nilsson
I got $10- on it. Phil, not to ruin your hopes or anything, but out of 900 users (850 that just look (lurk) around, how many do you think will pretend they didn't even read this. I'd pay to use this forum if it ever came to that. Just say the word and I'll send my contribution!
----------
"guido"
David M. Famiglietti

Everybody should do this ... it ain't much money to ask for a real good cause. Besides some people will send in the $3.50 to see the photos that Chuck brings back so there's something in it for them too, besides the site. Family should take care of family, it's the American Way.
I hope it works. Chucks a great guy he really deserves this. Not askin for much from any one person. Hell, I just spent $2.50 for coffee at Dunkins, nobody will miss the $3.50 and people will be glad they did it. When you do nice things like that I think God is watching you. If it was my last $3.50 cents, I'd send it in. Can't do much with it all by itself, but when you add it together, big things become possible.
Phil

I'll kick in fifty bucks, but under one caveat-an assurance that, during the ten days Chuck is gone, this forum doesnt turn into a ten-day Nilsson Associates info-mercial.
Bill
PS Why dont you set it up Phil? Stop by SSB tomorrow on your way in the office and set up the account. Maybe then I can forgive past transgressions ;) Even give you a whole day to spam the forum for your trouble, no hard feelings.

Edited by: thelawnguy

I'll kick in the $3.50 for every person who says they can't afford it, proves it right here with a valid financial.
Hey? $3.50 for this excellent cause and here's another possibility .. when the national mags get hold of this story.. it'll be big news. Don't put Nilsson's name on it, put LawnSite's name on it, and the registered members and otherswho made this possible. Good PR, special thanks to Chuck
for running the site ... nobody should expect any arguments about this.
One more detail ... in the unfortunate event that not enough money is raised .. the bank can issue Chuck a check and who knows, maybe it'll be enough to take some other kind of vacation with .. or spend as he sees fit. I hope he takes the cruise. I've been on 9 of them and gotta tell ya, no better vacation on earth. Hope this happens for Chuck, really do. Maybe some of the big rollers will send the bank more than $3.50 who knows?
to make up for the deadbeats. This is a fun project ... and can anybody argue or even want to about why not?
Phil N
