I JUST FINISHED A 5.5 HR. CLEANUP WITH ME AND ONE OTHER GUY. WE BOTH USED MOSTLY RAKES BUT ALSO A LITTLE BLOWING WITH HANDHELD BLOWERS. I WAS WONDERING WHAT A GOOD HOURLY RATE FOR CLEAN-UPS ARE. I WAS THINKING AROUND 25-30 PER GUY, BUT I CANT BRING MYSELF TO CHARGING 250-300 FOR THIS CLEANUP. WHAT DO U GUYS CHARGE? THANKS.

5.5 hours for a clean-up with two guys is a long time. $250-$300 sounds low to me. Clean ups are a pain in the arse. When I bid on one that I really don't want to do, I bid very high. They usually want us to do it anyway. Get paid!!!

I agree with EROSS17, the main thing is to get paid for your trouble. They know it's not an easy job or they would do it themselves. On clean-ups I never go below $40/hr/man.
If you do a good job, they will call again because they will want it done right.

Depends on the cleanup dude if its just leaves $550.00 is a little much to charge for a cleanup if its the whole deal thatching fertilizing cleanup areating etc then you jack up the price for what you eplained $250-$300 is fine you want to make your money you at least want to get $40 per hour for yourself its ruff getting that per person for a simple cleanup even if it took long you paying your man what 8 bucks and hour or something so do the math and get your money out of the way, good fair prices bring good business your way...

yea thats true he did say they were rakeing at most part .but i wouldnt even go below 400 for 5 and half hours it would be a waste of time then. i did a cleanup about two weeks ago by myself 550.00 6 hours of work but i wasnt doing that much of leaves the place was covered in pine.it depends on what it takes to do the job but i no over here there are houses you are never gona get 50 hour from. than there are some so use good judgement .

You guys are smokin if you believe a customer will pay the same hourly rate for a guy with a rake as they will for a guy with a vac system, broom, etc.

Let me know where you get 500 to hand rake a lawn for 5 hours spring cleanup, Ill be there tomorrow.

Definatly $35. or $40. per man hour is good.I'ts hard work, it may be a lot of money but again it's hard work. I also agree with the lawn guy, I don't think people should be penalizied for having the most efficient equipment to do the job, I think you almost have to price the job "by the job" no matter if you pick up one leave at a time or use a high powered vac etc...... The Vac guy shouldn't charge by the hour as the guy with the rake for obvious reasons. By the time you get to buy your own equipment you'll have experienced the difference and will be able to charge accordingly.
