That might work, an old toothbrush to get in the spots,
then you'll want to set it out in the sunlight to air dry.
gunk engine cleaner
it took a thread to discuss how to clean a trimmer head? This site never ceases to amaze me....
A freaking pressure washer will do the trick, no secrets, no magic. I bet you won't even need purple power, but you could always try simple green, or hell why not a bar of dial soap.
Wow, that was really informational and helpful for the OP. Some aren't quite as brilliant as others.
I spray my heads lightly with Fluid Film.....same principle as spraying your deck. Most crap doesn't stick the rest comes right off.
I have used about everything even my psi washer. The best stuff I have found to take grass stains off wheels, decks and my trimmers is Mean Green Orange Fresh. Every body that sees my mowers wants to know what I use. Works so good and its hard to find, when I do find it I buy about all they have. Find some and give it a try.
