Do you guys prefer clutched string trimmers or without the clutch?

a large LCO from Virginia told me they only run clutchless because of power, fewer brake downs (slippage) and that they don't use bump heads.

I think it would be very difficult to trim without a clutch at many of my jobs. I will stick with the clutches.

Clutches are a must, the trimmer would be too hard to control and want to get away all the time.

I'd perfer the clutch. Every trimmer I have ever owned except one has had a clutch.
