I have a Hustler Z whith 300 hrs on it and if I disengage the clutch after about 30 minutes use it will not re-engage unless I let it sit for a few minutes. Sometimes if I idle the engine all the way down and then throttle it up real fast it will engage.

Do you have any ideas what the problem is? The mower is a couple years old (2002 or 2001) It was purchased new in spring of 2002.

Depending on the clutch (we used 2 different ones at that time) it may just need to be adjusted, you can find the adjustment procedure in your owners manual, or have your dealer do it for you.
If it is a non adjustable clutch or the clutch is in adjustment, then you need to look at the electrical system.
Either way your dealer can take care of this for you.
I feel most likely though that it is a simple clutch air gap adjustment.
