How many of you guys add taxes onto your customers bills or do you take it out later from what you charged them.??

You need to check the legalities in your state for this...

In some states you can do it however you want but in other states you have to explicitly detail the tax amount and add it on the bill, it all depends where you live.

Or if you wait long enough, there is likely to be someone here who operates in the same state you do, they can better answer your question.

I tax materials because I am taxed on them. Not on my labor though.

In Pa. our accountant submits 6% sales tax on all income for lco. He advises that is how Pa operates we even pay a 6% tax on fuel and labor fees. Sounds Totally Crazy to me.
