    Hey guys!

Well the happy grass lawn care(Sycamore Lawn Care now) guys are now in college but still doing lawn care!:cool2: Sam is also doing web design! He made a lawn care directory site where everyone can post their companies and what not. Its pretty sweet and seems a lot cleaner then other lawn care directories.

    Here is the link
    http://justlawncare.net

He is not done with it yet but wants everyone to mess around and test it out. You guys are the first to see it.

Let us know what you think!!

Gotta give it time for DNS to propagate out.... (ie, for me it is still coming up as no server assigned, I have to manually set it to see the site)

I would change the login to not use the default WP login URL of /wp-login, just looks, well generic IMO.

Also in more than one place saw the label for your state being "Category", I would change that over to say State instead

Is the user control panel the basic setup of DirectoryPress? Just curious as I had someone say to give it a try for a client's website who will be offering subscriptions to content on his site.

PS. I would set it to block registrations from "temporary" email services, like the one I used to sign up ;-)

    - The Keyword Cloud doesn't serve a purpose for a directory such as this. I live in Columbus, Ohio, and, as there are currently no contractors in Ohio that have registered for me to see, why would I care about keyword suggestions pointing me towards "holly hill, wherever" or "Florida" or "United States"?

Here is as it currently renders:

holly hill mc daniels landscaper alabama orlando Montgomery turf hd turf jacksonville ormond beach fl lawn care Florida United States

    - On the "Add Listing" page, you show a "free package", but there are PayPal/Credit Card logos. So the plan is to expand with premium, fee-driven services I assume? If correct, I'd remove the logos until you get to that point.

    - The other thing is that the design makes me think that I've hit a keyword directory page (ie, autoparts.com or whatever) and not a legitimate service.

did you add the listings or did the providers add them themselves? The reason I ask is there are buttons to "claim this listing". To be honest, I've never really liked that approach, it seems like you added a site without someone's permission. That being said i know it's a common practice

No, the system seems to do that automatically when you add a listing. It even has it on mine.

I see your brother is using the DirectoryPress theme. Is he actually a web developer/programmer? The reason I ask is that it's mostly wheel-spinning to give feedback if the thoughts can't readily be implemented.

Echoing ServiceVines, losing that "claim this listing", especially if it doesn't accurately function, is probably a good idea. It's likely just a sidebar widget in the WP admin.

Your website isn't working, you take it down?
