I know not many of you follow or own/operate Komatsu equipment here on Lawnsite, but I do.

I saw these the other day when picking up our new PC35 from our dealer.
Its been Europe only for some time but they had two delivered brand new when I was there. I cannot believe they were special order since they have been sitting on the new, ready to sell lot. They are not on Komatsu's website for the US.

This is a 19,000 lb. machine.... The PC88MR. The pic is from a Euro website, I forgot to take a picture with my iPhone the other day but will soon. Its a very good looking machine with a very nice size.

Nice, looks like a swing boom, I wonder if it's a true replacement for the old PC-60's?

    BC Ron,

Good eye, its a swing boom....

Been meaning to update you all on the PC35. I bought the thing w/o having ever sat in an enclosed cab version. Well, it came and I hoisted my big ol' fat *** up on the thing and right through the door. I'm 6'4" and 270, lots of cab room and foot room. They list the smaller Utility version excavators as having the same amount of enclosed cab area as their bigger 200 series units. They tell the truth.

The hydraulic thumb is Werk Brau as is the bucket and mechanical coupler. Very nice stuff. I've got pics on the iPhone but too busy to remember to transfer over. Probably this weekend for you equipment pornography people.

Their cabs are massive, the PC75-PC308's use the same cabs, I have been in a 228 and a PC50, there is a big diffence in the two cabs, even the PC27-50's have bigger cabs with more room than Hitachi.

Junior's quick on the draw but BC Ron is on the backup. Komatsu cabs are huge even in the small stuff as I posted above....

I was just going off of what I can see from the back they look really narrow and small.. But i trust you.. the pc-45 dad used to have had a nice cab.. The best cab out of that komatsu and the two 331's he had was the pc-35 (might of been a pc-40 cant remember never did see it much) he bought right before he went out of town.. It was a really nice cab and it was quite comfy..

Unfortunately, I haven't been back to Knoxville since school started. Saw you were from East Tennessee and figured that's where you saw them. Hopefully they will still have one or two in the yard when I head home in a few months.
