I have been in the residential design build and irrigation business for six years.

Recently I have started bidding commercial jobs and winning every bid.

I'm not losing money and am doing a descent profit margin on these jobs but somehow feel I'm still leaving money on the table.

Different contractors have have given a lot of varying advice on how to bid government and commercial jobs. I'm a bit confused here in Podunk America. Id there some sort of set standard for figuring this?

Say a $20,000 residential job would be ??? if it were a commercial job.

    Thanks for any input.

Around here a 20k residential would go for 11k if it were commercial!:realmad: How many people bid on these jobs against you. You may have found your niche in your area.
