Looking to buy commercial 21" or 22" commercial push mower. Would love to hear what people think are the best brands/ models out there right now

    Things I am considering
    - variable speed transmission
    - light weight or easy to push around bushes or trees
    - reasonably priced (less than $900)
    - ability to go sideways on hills so good wheels
    - engine not named Briggs
    - recycler and bagger

Let me know what you think. Thanks guys.

Although I have only used Exmark (not exactly sure of model, but they're the 2013 commercial ones) and Honda 21's (hrc216 ranging from new to 5 years old), these are the main reasons I much prefer the Honda over the Exmark.

    1. The exmark has 1 speed, hauling ass. Although the top speed of a Honda isn't as fast as the exmark, its fast enough. And being able to select a slower speed without feathering the throttle is very nice.

    2. The exmark's are considerably lighter than the Hondas (the Honda still maneuvers well) , which can be a positive thing, but not when in this situation:

    3. The exmark will not keep a straight line across a hill. It is too light and slides down the hill the whole time. If you have hills that you want to keep straight lines across, go with a honda for this reason alone.

    4. Also, if you plan on bagging, the Honda will do an immensely better job when dealing with wet conditions. A Honda will suck up all clippings, even in the pouring down rain. If it's too wet the exmark will clog up every 30 feet.

Unfortunately, neither of these mowers meet your under $900 criteria. But I still felt like adding my 2 cents.

Hence my name, I am a homeowner. I like the Honda HRX models but I am concerned about the thumb throttles. Anyone think that causes fatigue?
