Giving my friend a job cause he needs it. The job will be to pass out door hangers whenver he wants too. Im wondering if I should pay hourly or by the job. Im thinking by the job. This of course is part-time. Im thinking like $9 an hour or maybe one lawn cut. For leaf jobs maybe give him 15%. Anyone else do this? Thoughts? Thanks.

Don't really understand. When you say "by the job", do you mean work that you get that comes directly from the door hangers?

When I say by the job I mean strictly commision based. So if he puts a flyer on the door and the resident signed up for yearly mowing he would get one cut worth of the year.

So lets say he gets me a $25 lawn that comes out to make me $750 for the year. I would pay him the $25.

Then lets say the guy also signed up for a one time leaf removal of $100. I would pay him $15 for that.

    Does that clear things up?

Definitely do it by the job/commission then. I don't see how "by the hour" would work. Keep us informed on how this works for you.
