concrete footer for retaining wall

    If theres already a concrete truck on site and the footing has to be dug then why not?

    Just because there is a concrete truck on site there is still the cost of materials and all the labour to form and pour it. This isn't a case about not spending the money to build it properly, its more like a holmes on holmes where they spend excess money to go above and beyond. Is it better?? Some say yes other say no.

    I'm assuming its a trench footing, no forming. How big is the wall? Pick your poison, time or material. Sometimes its easier to spend 300 on concrete than it is to go get the dump, get the tamper, pick up base, and wheelbarrel it in and install

    As mentioned in my previous post just because you are using concrete that doesn't mean you can skip base under the concrete.
