Contract samples in word perfect

    Does anyone here have a sample of lawncare/ landscaping contracts in word perfect format? My home computer does not let me look at the contracts in MS word form. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here is a sample contract posted a little while by Altavista Lawn Care.


    Landscape Install Agreement

    AGREEMENT:
    THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this _____ day of in this year by and between ________________, (“The Buyer”), having their principal place of residence at ___________________________________________ and Altavista Lawn Care, (“The Vendor”), having their principal place of business at 6333 Covered Bridge Rd, Gladys Va., 24554 referred to herein collectively as the “Parties.”
    WHEREAS, THE BUYER has engaged the services of THE VENDOR for landscape construction services as outlined in build/specifications sheet section, which should include items listed, or mutually agreed upon by both parties unless a provision is made stating otherwise by both parties. Custom work or large projects may be billed on time and materials basis. Other or additional service requests mutually agreed upon by both parties may be billed on time and materials basis.

    PERMITS, UTILITIES, MAPS:
    All necessary permits to be acquired by THE BUYER prior to the start of any work being performed.
    THE BUYER is responsible for marking property lines, as well as wetlands borders of said property.
    THE BUYER is responsible for locating and marking septic systems, irrigation systems, underground dog fences, and wells.
    THE BUYER agrees to have any overhead conductors lowered to the ground should it be requested in writing.
    Maps or property plots, if required, are to be provided by THE BUYER.

    PAYMENT:
    THE BUYER agrees to provide THE VENDOR with a deposit of 50% of the gross price of $________________ , paid prior to work being started. Service will begin as soon as possible, weather permitting.

    The remaining 50%, balance, $_________________ is due upon completion of the work as specified.

    All returned checks are subject to a $25 service charge.

    DISCLAIMERS:
    THE VENDOR will not be held responsible for:
    Theft of materials on service site.
    Damage to materials, or property, or delays in construction due to unforeseen events or acts of nature.
    Additional costs incurred due to unforeseen circumstances.

    REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES:
    (a) THE BUYER and THE VENDOR each represent and warrant to, and agree with, the other that:
    (i) They have the power and authority to enter into this Agreement and to fully perform their
    respective obligations hereunder, and this Agreement has been duly executed by it and constitutes
    a valid and enforceable obligation of it:
    (ii) The agreement complies with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.

    (b) ENTIRE AGREEMENT
    This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between THE BUYER and THE VENDOR with respect
    to the subject matter contained herein, and no waiver, modification, alteration or amendment of any of the
    terms or conditions contained herein shall be effective unless and until set forth in writing, duly signed by
    both Parties.

    IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement as of the date and year first above written by their duly authorized representative.

    Very nice.... That is almost exactly what i was looking for. Thanks for the help team gopher. I can definately work with that contract.
