As this is my first year to enter the mowing business as part-time, I'm wondering if I should consider having people sign a contract for the season or not. I only want to work 1-2 days a week at this. What is your opinion? If I do go with a contract, what specifications are usually terms of breaking the contract, etc.....

We never have had contracts for residentials. Never had a reason for them. I am sure someone will disagree, but it works fine for us without them.

    Good luck

ill tell u what, they may be few and far between, but when one of your favorite clients, for no apparent reason, just decides they wont pay their bill, u will wish u had a signed agreement. i call mine service agreements. in it contains what will be provided, for what price, and a schedule . it also contains an area for payment schedule, and explains that payments must be made on time.
