This question is for my lawn in SE Michigan. It is 1/4 acre, mature and I try to keep the lawn in good health by watering, fertilizing, mowing at highest setting, hand weeding, and occasionally feeding it with compost. The problem is that every year the lawn sprouts a good crop of field madder.... a lot more than I can hand weed. It's not a broadleaf weed. It doesn't seem to follow any particular pattern, the spots affect both healthy and weak areas of the lawn. Is there any program specifically designed to control field madder?
