convet closed to open

    hey everyone, i was contacted about trading trailers my 12 open for a 14 closed. id like to have an open,but mines a single axle and this one is dual and the extra space is nice.....so can the sides be cut off down to 2 feet high and still function??

    you would be better off getting an open trailer if that's what you want. All those modifications will cause you all kinds of problems, and the fixes/modifications to make everything correct/work right will cost you more than it's worth.

    I think you'll like the enclosed trailer more. I'd do the swap anyways since it seems like you'll be making out in the deal (given that the trailer isn't beat to hell). I'd keep it enclosed and sell it if you don't like it.
