Any issues with weed killer use along with "core" aeration?

My take would be 2 weeks before or after but not at the same time.

What about using a turf builder fertilizer plus weed killer combo?

Studies several years back by Ohio and Michigan on this topic indicated that it is ok to aerate during and after pre-emerge goes down. They said that there was the same infestation with or without aeration. They indicated that annual weeds will not grow sideways to get to a hole, the bottom of the hole is past the seed level and the weed seed placed on top of the barrier will not grow down thru the barrier.

Be careful quoting studies by Universities, tufcobob. You'll get jumped on by some of the wanna-be's on here that think they know more than the schools that actually study these things.:hammerhead:

BTW - those sudies are correct:waving::drinkup:

Ok . . . I understand on the pre-emergent but what about an herbicide that targets weeds? What effect or shock is there to the active grass roots if they get exposed to the weed specific herbicide . . . or does it matter?
