    I'm a little confused.

I'm looking into building my own website where the costs are reasonable for hosting. $15-70/yr. Some sites will give you $50 google ad word credits.

I cannot find how much it costs to get your name in search engines. pay per click, ok but how much is per click? are there other options than pay per click?
    Can't that get expensive?

    Thanks!!

For Google AdWords the price varies for each search term. However, you set the price you want to pay for each click. You also set a daily limit. So you enter your search terms like "lawn mowing", "mowing", "lawn cutting", etc. You then set how much you want to pay for a click on each term. It can be a penny or higher. Google will tell you how your price will effect the placement of the term. Most of my terms are between $.50 and $2 per click with a daily limit of $5. I pay on average $10 per month for clicks.
