First off thanks for the great site and wealth of information that everyone brings. Now to my questions. We have a Scag dealer locally and if I wanted another brand I would have to drive a minimum of 75 miles, local guy can service everything, but warranty work would have to be taken to the other towns. So would choosing one brand of mower be easier made for you knowing this? Second question, I have been looking at the Scag line pretty hard because it is local and I am torn between the liquid cooled fuel injected and the air cooled offering, other than cost and maintenance what are the pros and cons of the two? Thanks in advance.

Liquid cooled is supposed to be longer lasting, maybe a little quiter. I like mine. It is non fuel injected.

Fuel injection is supposed to be more efficient.

Buy Scag. The local support will be worth it in the long run. A 150 mile round trip to have a warranty issue addressed will take a full day, plus the expense. I don't run Scag, but they are a good machine.

Yes, local support is extremely important. Especially when you're talking about your mower sitting 2 days and a possible loaner vs 2 weeks and no loaner.

Thanks for the replies, I took a demo Turf Tiger today, it's 10 years old and cut my yard at the ranch right at 2.5 hours as compared to 6 to 8 hours on a 10 year old Craftsman. This is the first ztr I have used and I must say I am impressed, even for an older well used machine. I think I might need to start getting quotes on a couple of them.
