Im removing, what i would call a cover shrub, off a side of a hill.
Its about 6-7 inches thick.. real viny.. grows out... roots everywhere, covers the whole hillside. Almost like an ivy but in shrub form....

very difficult to remove...even with a pick ax...very time consuming... even tried pulling some of the bigger roots with a chain on the truck... also not that effective...

the owner wont let me spray roundup or gas and burn it... environmentally conscious

considered renting a high end tiller but wasnt sure if it would tear it up...

would the tiller work??? or any other suggestions on getting this removed?

if u can't identify it, you shouldn't be removing it.

Yea, what Bob said. I would tell him I have to spray it if he wants me to do it. Then chop it out somehow or bush hog it if feasable, then till it or dig/replace with soil How big a hillside is it. May have to visit your local rentall and see what they have for the job.
