Does anyone know where there is info on how much a mower will cut in an hour? I saw a chart on the back of some mower lit, a while back. It accounted for engine size, deck size and efficiency at 75% and up.

Thanks

Omg...

No but you can figure it kind of from one to the next, I'll tell you my 48" Wb
does an acre in 40-45 minutes while my 60" Ztr does it in about 30-35 minutes,
that means more than likely it would take a 36" Wb closer to an hour
(25% smaller deck than a 48", 25% more time) ...

How's that work out...
60" at 30-35 the 48" is 20% smaller so 35 x 1.2 = 42 minutes...
60" at 30-35 vs. 30" take an 1 hour 15 minutes?

All right so the math won't be exact but you can at least narrow it down.

Now keep in mind most of these figures are taken from a perfectly flat yard with
few obstacles and most everything in great condition so you can really fly...
Maybe more so if you find specifications based on manufacturer's claims LOL but then I ain't innocent either.
You'll want to tack on a good 20% for first time operations.

Hope that helps.

The formula for 80% is (deck size in inches) x (speed in MPH)/by 120= acres per hour. So a 5 foot mower traveling a speed of 10mph would cut 5 acres an hour according to this formula. 60 x 10 = 600/ by 120 = 5. Take this for what it's worth, But even in ideal conditions i've never seen an operator work at 80% efficiency.

Your not going to be able to get 75% efficient unless you are mowing mile long strips of grass like medians without trees. Your most likely going to be in the 60- 65pecent range. We usually can do 4 to 5 acres per hr with a 52 and a 61. the 61 does close to 3 per hr and the 52 just a little over 2. And thats saying you are mowing the property often and doing wide open mowing thats not really high quality. If you are doing like residential grade stuff we do more like 2-3 acres per hour.
