I recently applied a crabgrass control fertilizer,[ scotts with halts ].Now the customer wants me to do a plug airation, then overseed with a perenial rye grass. How long should I wait,to do this? I have heard 6-8 weeks. Is this correct? Or will the blanket effect keep the new grass from germinating? Thank for any help that anyone can give me.

You are probably going to have to wait about eight weeks or maybe even 10 weeks. Thats what I'd do.

I would tell them to wait till fall. The chances of new grass making it through the summer is slim. Especially ifyou wait 8 to 10 weeks to do it.
