crabgrass preventer?

    is it too late to put out crabgrass preventer in nashville, tn?

    No, not sure if split applications are the norm there or not. Up here we do split applications around March 15 and May 15. You still have time.

    Have you mowed yet? Best to apply crabgrass control between the second and fifth mowing. Try to apply before high temp hits 80.

    Crabgrass does not germinate in the transition zone unless the soil temperatures have been at 65 degrees for five consecutive nights. Even though you are in the TN, I believe that if you put the application down and water to create the barrier, you SHOULD be fine. Take care...

    If youre going dimension which I assume you are being that barricade/stonewall at a high rate this late will affect seeding, I would go with atleast a .15 or higher and if your'e doing only one app go at the very least 5.82#m2
