Can any one provide input on the following two questions :

I have a 2.5 / 15 hp horizontal tank compressor that is probably 10yrs. old or so. I replaced the rod & piston along with the sleeve. I hooked everything up but I left off the tube that is between the check valve and the pressure switch because it is kinked. I noticed upon running there is air coming out of the check valve side of the pressure swith. The compressor head has a tube that hooks up to the check valve and that is intack. My question is; when the unit is pumping air is the air suppose to stop at the check valve or is air suppose to stop at the pressure switch ?

The kinked tube is aluminum and what can I replace it with if I do not have any tubing this size that is aluminum ?

    Model 919167141

    Thanks for any input.

It is number # 25 that is leaking. It has a kink in it that created a cracked line. This leaks air when the unit is running.

    Is this normal ?

What kind of tubing can I use to replace it ?

    Thanks for Any Input !

Go to Sears web site and you can order any part needed with the model #.
