I am looking for a merchant account to run through my site. I don't need any of the equipment so I wanted to see what you guys are using.

What rates, fees, and all that good stuff.

i found it best to run it with yoru accounting system that way the customers account gets tied into it

QB does it, service auto pilot does it. once your set up with the processing company, most use authorized.net as a gateway....you can process on that site, you can also down load apps to your phone and punch in the card number. I saw a swipe card reader that attaches to an iphone so you can swipe.

I think the best thing at the moment is processing checks without going to the bank

Like the other guy said quick books does it and it ties it into your accounting system making life much easier

If you don't have QB ask your website guy who they use and they will integrate it for you

I use Authorize.net to process all of the payments on my websites. They're great and I highly recommend them.
