I just bought a new Cub Cadet Commercial M48 yesterday, and while I was mowing today the deck drive belt slipped off the idler pulley. I put it back on and mowed almost all of the yard. Then I disengaged the blade to go over my driveway and when I engaged it again the belt again came off the idler. Does anyone know how to correct this problem???

Check the Belt tension arm on the deck it may need adjustment.
The belt should not come off, unless its stretched.

Don't listen to the negative comments about Cub Cadet Commercials. Mine is great.

I have a 52 Lesco which is similiar. There are several moveable

pins that help keep the belt on. The 48 cub and 48 Lesco

are as good as any fixed deck machine. Ed

look under the motor mounted area, there should be TWO retaining type bars under there that you can adjust them so the belt will not come off.

Check to make sure the pulley isn't bent.
