I have a Cub Cadet M-60 Tank with a 27 HP Kohler. At WOT it is turning about 3490RPM. I was told it needed to turn about 3600-3700 to be efficent with cutting?????? Anyone got any info on this.

You need to be at a minimum of 3600 rpm with the blades engaged. The Tank I just sold today ran at 3800 with the blades disengaged and 3700 engaged. My dealer either set it high or the factory had it set high but I never complained! It is easy to adjust. There is a metal plate with 2 small screws or bolts under the carb that you can slide up or down. Thats how you adjust the maximum rpm.
