Yeah, I've been eagerly awaiting a website update.
I just wish it showed more specifics about the diesel unit.

Did you also notice that the little 48" now has the 23hp Kawasaki?
In addition the whole commercial line now goes 12mph, not just the big ones.

The crappy part for me is that I may never get the diesel. I deal with Lesco for these mowers because my local Cub Dealership is a bunch of jerks. I get more respect and better service from Lesco, plus I save over 2K per unit. But I doubt Lesco will ever release the diesel version. They have never adopted any of the other alternate engine options, although I understand why to a point. Heck, 'officially' they have never offered more than one engine option per unit because they have yet to officially confirm or deny the 28hp Generac 60" model.

    Oh well.... :(

    Mr. Turf Doctor,
What, may I ask, is your reasoning behind your theory that using a diesel all day will give you a headache?

    Envy,
Is it possible they were talking about the 28hp diesel instead of the Generac?
Maybe they're undecided on which way to go.

    Nope... definately Generac.

But at this point I can't say any more either way.

It's not like the LESCO forum is any help!
    What a waste that is.

The diesel is a 20 hp, I believe, lots of torque. They rearranged the hydro pumps also, and decreased the hydro oil capicity somewhat. They use a differant oil I was told.

typo there Wriken... its a 3 cylinder 28 HP Caterpillar diesel.

As far as the hydros, I think they went down to a 3 quart system.
They probably went to a synthetic oil setup.
More or less, probably just to be like everybody else, so no question is raised.

Personally, I like my high capacity system.
But I can see where they probably needed the room for the diesel.

The gas ones are less capacity also, me too, I like more oil. Should be another great cub product.:)
