How do you guys get on curbs to cut the grass? I have a ZTR and need to cut a cul-de-sac that has a curb all around.

Are there special ramps (not just 2x6) that you use?

We use 2x6" boards cut to width of mower. I have bought a plastic ramp made by Walker for $100 and it works well.

I bought some things, they are 2 peices of metal bent at an angle. You bolt them to a 2x6 or 2x8 and the board wont kick back when you go up on it.I think they sell them at auto zone.

todd, are you saying "back up the trailer and open the ramp on the curb"?

Since it's a cul-de-sac, it would not work. people will have to back out of their driveways and since it's round.....it's hard to lay a straight gate on a round curb. great idea for other places, though!!!! thanks

    anyone else?

If there are driveways, then why don't you just drive up the cut-out for the driveway. ;) Have you tried just jumping the curb? I am not sure about the exmarks, but my Dixie can jump a fairly high curb with ease. If the curb is too high, I use a set of steel ramps that I bought from the Harbor Freight Store. :)

I have the Walker ramp also. Its not as wide as my exmark but if you can get one back wheel up on the curb the rest will follow easily. See www.walker.com

Just back over the curb with you zrt. Go slow and go at a angle.
