I've never had a SS spreader but a lot of my friends in the snow removal business do and everyone has their own reasons for it. For me starting with the poly hopper, I don't think i would ever switch. The poly has low maintenance and no rust, lids that eliminate the use of tarps, and no gas motors to deal with. Plus taking the poly hopper in and out is very quick with no chain hoist required and the empty weight makes it bearable to drive around with in the winter, especially in a pickup. I put the inverted V in it to keep the weight off the belt and that helps although I never had a problem with it before installing the V. I think the biggest thing is how dry the material is going into the hopper. We are lucky enough to get our salt from a covered building so it is bone dry going in. This eliminates a lot of the problems people have with the poly hoppers and keeps us moving during storms. Overall, I love it and will buy another one for my dump truck when I get it.

Thanks man. Just happened to stumble across them on the internet one night and a dealer Rhode Island had them in stock. Drove up the next day and picked one up. They have a really solid frame and the lights mounted up nice and high where they are protected. Prices were awesome as well.

Equipment pics are coming when I get down to the shop and drag the equipment out, hopefully at the end of the week. For now here are some pictures of our work from this past summer.

First is a patio and firepit project...

These are a set of outdoor steps with connecting walkways, and a small retaining wall to connect to a previous one we already did

Here is a small walkway we replaced...this is the before

These are a little repair job we did, the old deck sat over the end of the patio and when it was removed, the edge was falling apart. We put a small wall in to hold back the soil and added the step. Lastly we releveled the pavers.

You do some nice stonework. I like your truck and trailers also. Everything is clean and well-kept. You obviously care about your image and work quality. Keep up the good work.

Very nice..I like when stripes are layed through a elevation changing landscape.

Trailers look very clean. And the red vbox with the blue looks good.

How do you like the v-box?

My prick neighbor has that same spreader.
