Had a customer call us and he is still on his honeymoon!

One of those do the job while they are away deals.

He was due back the 20th but with a little bit of wind and a friggin big hurricane on the way we did it on the 17th instead of the 19th. His mother called him and we heard about it.

He was promptly told where to shove it!......

I thought I had seen it all until this one.

I'm glad no one had to give me that exact advice on my honeymoon. You'd think he would have figured that out by now.:D

    What was the problem?

So you did what ever you needed to do 2 days earlier, so?

Most customer's would be grateful we were finished early.
This anal dimwit figured he wanted to have his 2 cents worth.

Give the marriage a year at best.

    Friggin unbelievable.

Heres the deal........ I added trees, shrubs and mulch at cost price in addition to the lawn install. I picked up 3 nice 2in thundercloud plums for next to nothing, and installed a birch and
your typical shrubs. Like I said ..... guy calls on honeymoon bitching because we do a job two days early. He wanted to be home the day after we finish. He wanted to water. Like i said a
hurricane aftermath was passing through etc etc.

Go over there tonight. Sure enough they have been walking all over wet hydroseeded lawn. (due to hurricane rain) Think footprints!

They want a bed moved, they want another bed moved,
they dont like the birch, they want another bed reshaped.
Mind you with ten years experience I think i might know a little bit about design.

Anyways handed them an invoice in one hand and a shovel in the other to move the beds. Will be over monday to pick up balance.
    Have a good life!

ps. I need to buy an anal radar .......take it with me on future bids.

If my mom called me on my honeymoon my new bride would probably kill me.

I don't get where he's comming from. Even if he would have got there the day after you finished it wouldn't have changed the landscaping design/draft you submitted and he agreed to. Plus, I wouldn't have given him one of my shovels without billing him for it first. Isn't it amazing how ignorant some customers can be?
