I have a customer that still pays me even though he does not want his Argentine Bahia cut from October thru April. He pays me monthly . He insist on paying me. Boy do I love some customers! You guys have any customers like that.

Definitely a little unusual there. But you don't cut it at all for 5 or 6 months?

I tried cutting last year during the winter when it needed it. He is an old guy and came out of the house yelling at my helper to stop mowing and get off the grass. He likes it cut as high as possible usually transport mode year round. He does not like it cut in the winter figuring it would kill his argitine Bahia if we a freeze ect. He even told me not to worry about grass and he will still pay even though I don't cut it. I think he is crazy but he pays

    figure this based on cuts.

If you have 35 weeks where you do cut his grass and 17 weeks where you don't, and he's still paying during that time frame, just add up what he pays you annually, and divide it by the number of times you cut him per year (in my example 35 times)

this is the value of the cut he is paying you for. (regardless of what you quoted him)

think of it like hes simply paying you 12 monthly installments.

If you feel guilty give him a free aeration once a year for being a swell customer, or some weed or insect control.

I think williams understands all that. That's how most of us do it here in Florida. What is amazing is the guy doesn't want it cut for 6 months. Usually even a bahia contract will get the mower run over it once every month even in the coldest years. Geez, how scraggly is it going to be by Feb after this mild fall and winter?

Yes it does look like its getting rough looking. I want to cut it but don't dare to. He wanted to fire me last year for trying to cut it. I begged for him back because it is easy money. He lives In an 55+ neighborhood and he think Argentine Bahia needs to be cut high. He does not water it or fertilize it.

I know the type. You just play by their rules and keep depositing the checks.
