Customers or employees?

    I saw this quote in a thread from about 3.5 years ago:

    Is that still true today, or has it flipped so it's harder to find customers and grow the business? Based on other more recent threads I suspect it has turned around, but I'd be interested in hearing what those on the front lines think about it.

    finding reliable help is hard in a service industry. i know a few landscapers that go through laborers every week it seems. the truth is, they're not making the same $/hr that you're making, so they care substantially less.

    finding work is easy yet hard at the same time. sometimes you get flooded, other times you're in a dry spell. around here there's more landscapers than i could count. however theres plenty of lazy people that don't want to maintain their yards, so the market is good.
