I have a large area, 5 acres, to pickup cut grass. Anyone have suggestions what is the best equipment to use? Would a tractor 3 point landscape rake work to gather grass into piles?

Why, do you need to pick it all up? That is a huge waste, all the way around, and the grass suffers the most.

I want to pickup the dead grass rows because they are unsitely. Also, the grass buildup makes it that much more difficult to mow next time.

Cut the grass more often and you wont get the rows. Depending on how deep the rows are, mow in opposite direction a couple times and they will settle.

Mulch mow at a hieght, that the accumulation is negligible, as they will not be in rows. It dries and disappears in no time.

Grass buildup from mulch mowing, means too much N, not enough water, mowed too low, or something.
Mulch mowing is actually the best thing for the grass and the soil, when done properly and the clippings should decay quickly into plant food.
