Is there a noticeable improvement in cut quality (no gouges or mow lines in Bermudagrass on rolling terrain) with the 44" Lazer Z HP deck vs. the 48"? I will soon be mowing more smaller lawns with denser turf that shows every little flaw. I'd rather stick to my ZTR and not have to go to a 36" deck wb or even 21" to mow smaller properties.

I have learned that decks the same width as the front caster wheels handle terrain better than decks that are wider than the wheels. My Toro walk behind 36" is a lot better at handling rolling terrain than my 44" was, for example. That overhang for trimming on the left side would gouge like crazy.
