cutting tumbled pavers

    Were getting ready to do a job using the Hanover tumbled pavers. What have you found is a good way of cutting these stones in order to keep their tumbled look? The wet saw almost gives it an unnatural look after its cut.

    cut them regularly like any paver, then use a hammer and gently re-tumble the cut edges...

    I've seen a guillotine/splitter used effectively.

    I agree, basically just hit the cut edge to take that straight cut look away.

    Yep ...and it's quick. We install almost 100% tumbled and use our guillotines most of the time.

    Kris - Do you have any close-up pics of an installation where you used the splitter? I would like to see what the edge looks like. We have a splitter and I never used it for pavers. I would just have a concern as to how tight it would sit against the border. Thanks.
