Utility company has been doing major re-cabling in many neighborhoods that i mow in. They are flagging the medians between sidewalk and street like crazy. The average corner lot has about 20 flags. Pain in the rear.

I let them go for a week, if they are still there I munch them. I dont care, they are too dang lazy to come out and work. What makes me really mad is when they leave the cables out on the lawn for weeks on end.

When the blades cut them they become sharp.

Next thing you know you are fretting multiple flat tires including nasty sidewall cuts.

Once you run them over you have "poisoned" the property and can count on flat tires for the forseeable future.

Been there, done that, part of the tuition payment to the School of Hard Knocks.

I sucked one up, got it wrapped around the blade somehow, and it was shooting sparks out the side of the deck. Scared the crap outta me. Won't do that anymore, on purpose.

I do get mad at the idiot cable people who can't seem to bury their stinkin' cables. I've got a property, newly built house, started 2 1/2 years ago, and the damned cable still hasn't been buried!

I once had three cables on a property that I mowed over for months. they were on a slope and were a huge pain in the butt. finally I just cut the crap out of them, and SBC was out in 30 minutes and they were buried the next week.

I usually wait for about 3 to 4 weeks and if they are still there and no work has been started then I mow over them

Couple year back my boss had one of his guys mowing a field, that had these flags on it, lil yellow gas line here markers, kid mowed em all over, realized later on what he did, put em back where he thought they were susposed to go....lets jus say there was a gas leak a couple of day later.

I had a guy once pick up the flags, mow, and then put them back down where he thought they went. I am glad that I was there and saw him. Saved me from having a nice lawsuit

Here in Colorado, most of the utilities sub out install to the lowest bidder. You get what you pay for , and we all pay for it.
