Anybody ever taken the fuel cut-off switch out of a carb (any carb) before and started having voltage problems?? Two batteries in a week...they keep loosing their charge. Didn't start till I took out the switch(that was bad). Maybe its something else...?

I have removed many of these switches and never had this problem, As long as you taped the wire up where it wouldn't short to ground this is not your problem, It's something else.
Post the model number off your unit AND the model and spec. numbers off the engine and we will see what we can come up with.
