Dead tips

    I start out with sharp blades and still have yellowed tips on the blades of cut grass. They dont really look torn either. What up with that?

    is it zoysia grass?

    Here the grass is going to seed. Could this be what your seeing?

    It is fescue kentucky blue in northern climate. Its not going to seed.

    Hmmm....I guess your colder than us. Ours has been seeding now for the last week.

    could be fungus spread from a previous yard. not likely but possible.

    make sure the deck rake is set so the front is even or lower than the back. I also see it after a lawn application.
