We are putting together a bid for a paver driveway. The existing driveway is asphalt that is heaving from tree roots and I was wondering what products you have used to prevent damage to the new surface from root heaving. Do you run it the length of the driveway or just around the trees?

Just use a root barrier along where the tree is and root prune the roots that are currently in the way.
That should help. Plenty of root barrier out there just do a search in yahoo for root barriers.

Try searching for BioBarrier. I believe the manufacturer claims it will stop root growth for ten years.
