I've read alot of threads and posts on LS but I haven't seen anything pertaining to hand held pick up tools. It's a pain having to get off the mower to pick a piece of trash or worse, a few empty beer bottles.

I bought a cheap one at a Carter tool sale for 5 bucks and mounted it with Velcro to the mower. I used a strip about 6in long and found a good location to mount it.
What do you use if anything to pick up trash in the lawns.

the pick up tool from Home Depot. The brand that is the anodized green color. It rests right between the right tank and the seat. Lay it upside down, and the grabber part rests level on the outside edge of the footrest cover plate. Always out of the way...and always easy to grab.

I'm right there with Runner, the green ones from Home Depot.

The grabber part for me sits perfectly across my boot, so it stays in one place.

I got a couple from there too. We have many pine trees around here. It is nice to be able to pick up the bigger pines coneswhile still on the mower.

That is too big ...pay the $30 and get the one from Thomas with the little suction cups that allow picking up smashed cans and other stuff without stopping.
