    Hi all,
I have a John Deere L110 Tractor ( Yea I know Im A Scrub, at least Untill next season) Anyhow I am having a hard time adjusting the deck Hight. I puchase a gauge from JohnDeere that Measures blade from the floor but it is flimsy and doest work well. any tricks to this? Also I noticed on turns mower leaves a ridge.

My JD deck height guage works just fine. Measure blades when turned to the sides for cut height. turn them front to back to determine rake. Rake should be 1/8" to 1/4" lower on the front. That should all be in your manual

Scout_Pete is exactly right, I just did that on my mower. From the factory (Cub Z 44), my deck pitch was almost an inch difference. I didn't like the cut when I first used the mower. Now that the deck is properly aligned, it cuts pretty damn nice.

What does it mean when the cutting hight is fine when going strait but when turning it causes raised ridges?
